I Love the Islands – Dunedin makes over $12,000
In another hugely successful event the Dunedin public added more than $12,000 to the Dunedin Community Pacific Tsunami Response fundraising total. Around 800 people poured into to the Dunedin Town Hall and exceeded available seating capacity to hear Oscar Kightly and Teuila Blakely MC , with great local and iconic national performers like Scribe and Savage working their magic to benefit the people of Samoa affected by the recent Tsunami. Re-Leaf the Islands raises over $5,000
The "Re-Leaf the Islands" show filled the Teachers College Auditorium and raised over $5,000 in ticket sales and donations in the second major performance event of the Dunedin community's Pacific Tsunami response. Performers were welcomed by an enthusiastic crowd on a memorable night. The great positive energy threw into stark contrast the poignant video messages from those directly affected by the Tsunami. Re-Leaf the Islands was the second major performance event of the Dunedin community's response to the Pacific tsunami, and is followed this Wednesday night with the "I Love the Islands" show at the Glenroy Auditorium, Dunedin. Dunedin Community Fundraising Concert raises thousands
The Dunedin Community Pacific Tsunami Relief Concert raised a total of $10,447.20 in a fantastic effort by the Dunedin public last night. Combined with a $20,000 donation direct from the Dunedin City Council the response of the Dunedin Community can already be measured in the tens of thousands. In a demonstration of community solidarity, the people of Dunedin joined with community, business, and civic organisations to donate time, resource and energy to stage a night of variety entertainment in support of the peoples of Samoa and Tonga.

Rebuild Samoa Net-a-thon
Talofa, A new way to raise funds for Samoa’s relief effort has been launched via a Net-a-Thon. This is the first Internet fundraiser of its kind in the region, and is part of Phase Two, to Rebuild Samoa. The Net-a-Thon starts on Saturday, 7 November 2009 and will run for seven days.
